Exhibition: Sea of Cortez

Organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, my exhibition Sea of Cortez presents a series of composite works inspired by John Steinbeck’s seminal 1951 text. Rooted in my ongoing collaboration with the laboratories at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, these pieces merge biological specificity with visual abstraction. I utilize the lens of the microscope and the structure of nautical charts to map the vulnerability and resilience of the Gulf of California, inviting viewers to witness the interdependence of all living things.
